WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio– Workers at Coldwell Banker are relieved no one was injured when a car crashed into a building Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened right around noon.
“It was just a loud crash,” said Tiffany Przeracki, who was at a hair salon next to Coldwell Banker when the accident happened. “Sounded like someone drove through the building.”
A passenger in the car involved in the crash told FOX 8 they were headed to lunch and got lost.
She said they stopped at the business to ask for directions, when the driver’s foot slipped off the brake and on to the gas pedal.
The car went up on the sidewalk, and crashed into the business, knocking down the brick walls and glass windows.
The car ended up inside the building, next to a desk and several chairs.
Gail Wolf said she was at her desk working when she heard a loud bang.
“I could see it from my desk,” Wolf said. “I could see the car coming and it didn’t look like it was going to stop. It just kept driving right through. It was just really scary.”
She said the first thing employees did was check to make sure everyone inside the car was OK.
The driver and passenger both said they were fine, just a little shook up and embarrassed.
